From there he would tweet out links to his songs to his followers. The tweets would lead people back to his website. He was using software to build up his twitter followers and said that he had close to 47,000 followers at one time. On one of his songs he tweeted out, he got over 4,000 downloads in three days.

While you might know her from 50 cents G-Unit records, that wasn't her first record deal. The first record deal that she signed was with J Records back in 2002. She was actually the first artist signed to J records. That's no small thing. Clive Davis is the owner of J records and Clive Davis is an industry legend. He's the same guy that signed Whitney Houston back in the day and a ton of other successful artists.

How To Get Signed To Rostrum Records?

Rostrum Records, the home of Wiz Khalifa and Macc Miller, announced the signing of another rapper today. Boaz, who is from Pittsburgh, joins what is becoming a high-powered label.

If you don't know who Boaz is, like I don't, apparently he's been busy grinding behind the scenes. He's already been featured in Source Magazine, XXL and on all All Hip Hop dot coms Breeding Ground.

Boaz says it was a natural choice being that Rostrum Records seems to know what the heck they are doing in developing new talent. He also stated that he knew some of the guys already at Rostrum Records and that signing is a good fit for both parties.
